Ok west Texas ... we got the green light to re-open massage therapy establishments.
To allow proper time for sanitizing my space and PPE shipments to arrive, my reopening date is next Wednesday May 27. I will only be seeing 2 clients a day to start, so please be patient.
To keep us both as safe as possible, I'm implementing some safety protocols.
First of all, I've moved my clinic space to my addition that has its own entrance. No clients will be going thru the house anymore. That room has tile floor, an attached restroom, etc and will be far easier to keep sanitized. When you arrive, come to the front as usual and I'll walk you around to where you'll be going for all future appointments.
masks must be worn. (Yes, I'll be wearing one too!)
I'll also be taking temps (mine and yours) if you're sick and/ or have a fever we cannot keep your massage appointment.
These should be obvious and are non negotiable.
I'm also going to go a step further and ask that you shower and put on fresh clothes before coming. (Honestly, most of y'all do that anyway, so i feel funny asking.) Basically i don't want you running all over town to the germy grocery and the germy gas station then touching your face, then coming here and making me touch your face. Am i going to check? No ... of course not, but let's just be courteous to one another and arrive clean. 😁
I will have masks available if you forget yours and will have hand sanitizer for your use.
On my end, I have the H13 air purifiers running 24/7, and have an ozone machine to run at night which sanitizes the space. I also will be steam cleaning the floors daily. I bought hospital cleaning supplies.
Table protocols are a bit different .... each client will have medical grade sani-sheets under your regular sheets which will be changed with each of you just like regular table linens. Each new client will have your own blanket, also changed after each session. For now, no table warmer and no fluffy fleece.
Sauna, hot tub, and theragun sessions are not available at this time.
Still social distancing or not comfortable coming in? I can still help w pain relief! Remote sessions (via video chat) are available for posture analysis, gait assessment, and corrective postures/exercises. Fee TBD.
Does any of this guarantee we won't get sick? Of course not. But we live in a small town in a remote area and doing a little extra to add even a small buffer to our safety isn't a bad idea. I don't want to see any of y'all sick. Or me for that matter.
