With the warmer weather here, we’re seeing more people out enjoying the sunshine — biking, walking, and spending time outdoors.

🚴‍♂️ Please remember:
• Always wear a helmet
• Stay alert and avoid distractions
• Watch for vehicles at all times
• Use crosswalks and follow traffic signals
• Make eye contact with drivers before crossing

🚗 Drivers:
• Slow down in residential areas
• Watch for cyclists and pedestrians, especially children on various types of bikes and scooters
• Give everyone plenty of space when passing

Parents, please have conversations with your kids regarding safety outdoors, a little reminder every time they go outside to play! A few extra seconds of awareness for everyone can prevent serious injuries. Let’s all do our part to keep our communities safe

On this Christmas Day, we’re reminded that the true spirit of the season is found in service, kindness, and caring for one another. While many are gathered around the tree with family and friends, our providers are on duty—answering calls, offering comfort, and being there when our communities need them most.

To the communities and families we proudly serve: thank you for the trust you place in us. To our crews working today: thank you for your sacrifice, compassion, and dedication, not just today, but every day of the year.

May your homes be filled with warmth, peace, and joy. Wishing everyone a safe, blessed, and Merry Christmas. 🎄🚑✨

❄️ Subzero Temperatures Expected – Stay Safe & Stay Warm ❄️

As temperatures drop below zero this week, A1 EMS wants to remind our communities to take extra precautions. Extreme cold can become dangerous very quickly—especially for children, older adults, and anyone without reliable heat.

If you or someone you know needs a safe place to warm up, please use one of the designated community warming centers attached below. These locations are open to help keep everyone safe through the severe cold.

Cold Weather Safety Tips:
• Limit time outdoors and layer clothing.
• Bring pets inside.
• Check on neighbors, friends, and family who may need assistance.
• Keep space heaters at least 3 feet away from anything flammable.
• If you lose heat, head to a warming center rather than waiting it out.

Our crews will be out responding throughout the weather event—please stay safe, stay warm, and don’t hesitate to call 911 in an emergency.

❄️ Winter Weather is Here — Stay Safe, Stay Warm! ❄️
Snow may look pretty, but it definitely likes to keep us on our toes! As winter rolls in, your A1 EMS team just wants to drop a few friendly reminders to help keep our community safe:

🚗 Take It Slow on the Roads
Snow and ice can sneak up on you. Give yourself extra time, extra space, and extra patience.

🧊 Watch Your Step
Sidewalks, driveways, and porches can turn into skating rinks quickly. A little salt goes a long way!

🔥 Heat Your Home Safely
Keep space heaters at least 3 feet from anything that can burn, and never leave them running unattended.

🧤 Bundle Up!
Layer up, stay warm, and check in on neighbors who may need a hand.

Our crews are out and ready if you need us — but we’d much rather see everyone safe, cozy, and enjoying the season. ❄️❤️

Stay safe out there, from all of us at A1 EMS! 🚑💙

🚑 Winter Storm Safety Reminder from A1 EMS ❄️

This winter weather has impacted all of our response areas for Bond County, Douglas County, and Effingham County with more snow, rain, and freezing temperatures on the way.

With this wet, heavy snow moving in, we want to help keep our communities safe and prepared. Please take a moment to look out for yourselves, your neighbors, and anyone who may need an extra hand.

Here are a few quick safety tips:

• Take it slow on the roads. Wet, heavy snow makes for slippery conditions and reduced visibility. Give yourself extra time and extra space.
• Shovel smart. This type of snow is dense and can put added strain on your back and heart—take breaks, push instead of lift, and avoid overexertion.
• Check on vulnerable neighbors. A quick call or knock can make a big difference.
• Stay aware of downed power lines or tree limbs. Report hazards immediately and avoid the area.
• Keep walkways and steps clear. Prevent slips and falls by salting early and often.
• Prepare for possible outages. Charge devices, gather flashlights, and avoid using generators indoors.

Our crews are out and ready if you need us—but we’d much rather see everyone safe and warm at home. ❤️

Stay safe, stay aware, and take care of each other.
