It passed in June with unanimous support from both Democrats and Republicans in the state Senate and Assembly.

RSS is saddened to hear the passing of our former board member and friend, Roy Neville. Roy was a fierce advocate within the Mental Health community. He will be truly missed. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1GkTDNxWty/?mibextid=wwXIfr

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Roy Neville, a founding member of NAMI Schenectady and one of our most dedicated advocates. For over four decades, Roy worked tirelessly to improve the lives of people living with mental illness and their families—advocating for reform, education, and community support.

Together with his wife, Mary, Roy helped establish Schenectady’s family support and education group, which continues to serve families today. As longtime editor of the NAMI Schenectady newsletter, he kept members informed and engaged in advocacy efforts statewide.

Roy’s passion and leadership left a lasting legacy, and his commitment to NAMI’s mission will continue to inspire us all.
