✨Woohoo! Today was casting day! ✨

For pediatric Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT), we create a lightweight, custom arm cast to gently limit use of their stronger arm. This encourages their weaker arm to do the work — helping the brain rewire and build new movement pathways! 🧠✨

Each cast is carefully fitted to be comfortable, safe, and supportive, and of course expertly decorated! 🐍🎨👨‍🎨

Research suggests cortical reorganization and cortical representation is use dependent. This means you have to use your extremity in order to achieve neuroplastic changes and regain movement. But, how do you use your hand after suffering a stroke? 🧐 Awesome technology like the glove allows for functional use of the paretic hand. We love giving clients the opportunity to use their hand again!
