We do not want the year to end without extending our deepest gratitude to the Howard’s, a remarkable family who made a big difference at CORE in 2025. The Howard’s came to CORE for their son, but witnessed the extraordinary impact of our community, and chose to support our mission in a meaningful and lasting way.
Through their new foundation, You Can Do Hard Things, they invited CORE leadership to South Florida in October, where powerful personal stories were shared by CORE Director Malerie Robinson, CORE Foundation President Matthew Davies, Client Relations Coordinator Dana Guest, and CORE client Dr. Josh Powell. These heartfelt testimonials visibly moved the over 200 attendees in the room and inspired them to take action.
As a result of the Howard’s leadership, $100,000 was raised in support of the CORE Foundation and presented at CORE’s recent Reindeer Run & Roll 5K. This extraordinary gift will directly support life-changing recovery and exercise programs for individuals living with paralysis. We are incredibly grateful for the Howard family’s willingness to step up for the CORE Foundation in such an impactful way this year.
This experience was a strong reminder of what happens when our stories are shared beyond our walls. We would like to ask YOU to please check the 2026 calendars for your community groups, churches, clubs, schools, businesses, and organizations to consider hosting CORE to speak, where we can share firsthand the impact of recovery, resilience, and hope. Together, by amplifying these stories, we can continue moving beyond paralysis and building a stronger, more connected community.
