This holiday season, we invite you to give a gift that tells a story. Through our Names That Move Us Brick Fundraiser, you can honor someone who inspires you; whether you’re celebrating a milestone, recognizing courage, sharing your journey, remembering a loved one, or showing belief in the CORE mission.

When we initially launched this project, our team knew exactly whose name needed to be first: Nick Vollman.

Nick joined CORE in 2014 after a cycling accident left him a quadriplegic. From the moment he started training, he brought courage, grit, a dose of witty humor, and an unwavering spirit to every single session—no matter the challenge. His favorite creed, “No retreat. No surrender.” wasn’t just a motto; it was how he lived. It shaped us as a young team all of those years ago and continues to inspire new teammates who never had the privilege of meeting him, but hear us speak of him.

Nick’s strength was powered by the incredible love around him, especially from his dad and mom, Tom and Chris, who never left his side. Their commitment and belief in Nick helped him move mountains, and they continue to support the causes he cared so deeply about. Nick was special because he came from special.

As you consider holiday gifts this year, we hope you’ll help us create a courtyard for clients and caregivers built on stories like Nick’s… stories of strength, hope, and love. 💙
