Central Florida Stroke Club

Central Florida Stroke Club A support group for stroke survivors, families, and friends. Come join us at Florida Hospital for Women located at 601 E. Rollins St Orlando, Fl. 32804

Central Floridians have been welcomed with understanding and open arms to the Central Florida Stroke Club since 1973. That's when a group of stroke survivors and their caregivers joined together to form a stroke support group where they could share their experiences, expertise and understanding of how a stroke can change lives and better ways to deal with those changes. Our group has grown, as any

such will over the years, but its foundation remains the same: A place of understanding, friendship, sharing of knowledge and acknowledging the importance that smiling and enjoying oneself has in the recovery process. We meet once a month at an easily accessible location Florida Hospital Orlando on the 9th floor of the Ginsburg Tower. We also get together once a month, at a local restaurant, to share a lunch. Once each spring we gather for a picnic, and each December we celebrate the holidays together at a luncheon party. Most of all, we are there for each other, if and when needed. We know through experience that the arrival of a stroke in a family can turn life upside down. We've all made it through that initial onslaught, with the help of the friendship and support of other caring people. And we continue to draw on those resources -- and offer them -- whenever they are needed. We invite you to join us.
