October is the month for breast cancer awareness. 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. In 2025, an estimated 316,950 women and 2,800 men will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Chances are, you know at least one person who has been personally affected by breast cancer. 💗 We wore pink in support of those who had triumphant feats against breast cancer! We celebrate their life, their beauty, and bring awareness of such a disease. With survivors in our community, such as our receptionist Margaret, and residents Geri and Jean, we raise our voices and speak for those who are in battle! We love you! 🌸

We are family, I got all my sisters with me! 🎶 What a blast we had at Dr. Phillips on their Sister Act Play! The show was packed with comedy, music and talent! We can't wait for our next visit to the theater! 🎭

For two months in the summer, our wonderful residents have been part of a Tai-Chi program provided by the Senior Resource Alliance. 🉐 They garnered skills and learned about the importance of movement, breathing and control-- to understand their bodies. Now, they have graduated and, with big smiles, encourage others to participate! Congrats to our program graduates, and thanks to the SRA for keeping our seniors active and educated! 🎓

Discovering our residents talents and hobbies is always a delight, especially when they are on board with highlighting their works! John Kuhn showcased his breathtaking gallery – met with awes from residents and all who got a chance to visit his display in our Bistro! He also had a panel in which he shared his passion for photography, attracting visitors from all over; interested in the man behind these beauties. Thank you, John and Texy Kuhn, for opening the doors to all residents who have a passion that needs to be shown!
