Last week’s Ribbons of Strength event at Bluff City Grill was a powerful reminder of the heart of our community. 💜

From the exceptional hospitality of Cathy, Randi and the team Bluff City Grill to the raw, shared moments of support, it was an evening we won't soon forget.

Because of your generosity, we’re able to continue providing vital support to cancer patients at Alton Memorial Hospital.

💜The good times are what they talk about when they attend our event. They remember the laughs, the love and the friendship that carried them through the hard times.

Save the Date for Ribbons of Strength! 💜
We invite you to join the Alton Memorial Health Services Foundation for our annual Ribbons of Strength event on April 30th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Bluff City Grill in Alton.

💜This special event brings our community together to honor those currently fighting cancer and remember the loved ones we have lost. It’s a powerful reminder that in the River Bend area, no one has to fight alone.

💜How You Can Get Involved:
Purchase a Ribbon: Honor or remember a loved one with a personalized purple ribbon to be displayed on our Wall of Honor during the event. The deadline to order new ribbons for the event is April 20th.
Support Local Patients: 100% of proceeds stay local, benefiting the Foundation’s “You’ve Got a Friend” and “Extra Mile” funds. These funds help patients with essentials like gas cards, car repairs, and utility bills so they can focus entirely on their healing.
💜Join the Gathering: Enjoy refreshments and light appetizers while connecting with neighbors and friends.

Why does Amber Hubbell Bruns support our Ribbons of Strength Campaign?
Because she knows the struggles of cancer. Amber was a young mother of two little boys when her husband's cancer returned and ultimately took his life.

She remembers the added expenses cancer brought, she remembers trying to work and take care of two littles when Aaron was so ill. She remembers people reaching out and helping her. And now, she is returning the gesture.

By purchasing a ribbon in memory of Aaron, Amber is helping others who are fighting this battle while also keeping his memory alive. Funds raised help patients with expenses like utilities, car repairs, mortgages and more.
