It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of an integral part of the Rand Hill Maple team. Richard (Stan) Layhee was a brother-in-law, uncle, friend, co-worker, driver, mechanic, cook and so much more. He was usually the first to arrive in the morning to cook breakfast and was a everyday fixture at the sugarhouse. To say he will be missed is an understatement. If you knew Stan and would like to celebrate his life, please join us at Rand Hill Maple this Sunday, July 9th at 2:00pm.

Richard “Stan” Layhee, 72, of Dannemora, NY, passed away on July 2, 2023 at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT following a brief battle with cancer.
