Dorothy “Dot” Lake
July 25, 1935-February 17, 2026

Dorothy “Dot” Lake, formerly Weber and Sunseri, age 90, of Patton, Pennsylvania, passed away surrounded by the family love she cherished so deeply.
Dot’s life was marked by steady devotion — to her children, grandchildren, community, church, and all those whose lives were better for knowing her. She was the proud mother of seven children, grandmother to nineteen grandchildren, and great-grandmother to fourteen great-grandchildren. To them, she was simply Grandma Dot, a name that reflected the warmth, strength, and unconditional love she gave so freely.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Evelyn Sunseri; her husbands, Charles Weber and Richard Lake; her sister and brother-in-law, Besse and Paul Flora, and their daughter Marilyn “Cis” Flora; her sons-in-law Dr. David Johns and Brad Keller; and her grandson-in-law Eric Stiffler.
She is survived by her brother, Toby Sunseri; her nephew, Paul Flora; and their families, as well as by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Surviving children include Jeff Weber (Jean), Dr. George Weber (Diane), Chuck Weber (Lauren), Tamra (Weber) Pelleschi (Joe), Zena (Weber) Johns, Dawn (Lake) Keller, and Richard Lake (Shannon). Grandchildren include Chuck Weber, Lucas Weber, Sam Weber (Cassie), Dr. Douglas Weber (Dr. Liz Martin), Matthew Weber (Michaela), Haley Weber, Sarah Satterfield (Drew), Heather Stiffler, Jessica Nickel (Nate), Elizabeth Pelleschi (Jake), Samantha Johns, Lauren Rigby (Beau), Michael Johns (Stevie), Rachael McFoy (Shane), Mandy Johns, David Johns, Emilia Keller, Thomas Keller, and Makena Lake. Great Grandchildren include Olivia Stiffler, Sophia Stiffler, Logan Weber, Cora Weber, Dayten Rose, Aryana Myers, Charlotte Satterfield, Emerson Satterfield, Ty Satterfield, Colbie Satterfield, Eli Nickel, Miles Hessler, Hendrix Weber, Asa Rigby and Baby McFoy (on the way).
Dot’s greatest joy was being a mother. Through her steady presence and selfless support, she showed her family what unconditional love truly meant. She stood beside them through every milestone and challenge, proud of their accomplishments yet never measuring success by wealth or status. Education was deeply valued in her home — shelves of books and a well-used set of encyclopedias, now a thing of the past, reflected her belief that learning was a purpose in itself. To Grandma Dot, success was found not in titles or income, but in character, kindness, and the good one gave to others, and she regarded each child’s path with equal pride.
Her love for family was perhaps most visible around the dinner table. An exceptional cook, she was especially known for her lasagna — a favorite of many — though each child and grandchild claimed a different dish as their own. Preparing large meals was one of the many ways she brought everyone together, creating time to talk, laugh, and build memories that will last for generations.
Dot believed strongly in service and community. She was a retired legislative aide for Representatives Edward “Doc” and Gary Haluska of Pennsylvania’s 76th District and, during that time, an active member of the Democratic Ladies League.
Grandma Dot leaves behind a lasting legacy of unconditional love, selfless devotion, strong values, and boundless generosity — a legacy that lives on through the family she so proudly raised.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
Friends will be received from 4-8 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Stevens Funeral Home, 1004 N. Fifth Avenue, Patton, PA 16668. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Patton United Presbyterian Church, 509 Magee Avenue, Patton, PA 16668 with the Rev. Alice Tondora. Interment will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
