Metro EyeCare is now Open Access for all the following plans: Aetna Vision, Blue View, Cigna Vision, Davis Vision, EyeMed, and Spectera! Open Access means that you can decide what frames, lenses, and other services you want for your glasses and contacts, and we can still file the paperwork for you to get reimbursed directly from your plan. We are still contracted with VSP as well. No more going someplace simply because your plan tells you to. As always, we accept most major medical plans for medical services and exams if they are part of benefits.

Metro EyeCare is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Linda Vang.

Dr. Vang grew up in Saint Paul, Minnesota and received her bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University. She went on to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Chicago College of Optometry, graduating in 2025.

Dr. Vang provides comprehensive eye care services in both Altoona and Johnston locations. She is known for her compassion, attention to detail, and commitment to making every patient feel heard and valued. Her areas of interest include primary eye care, contact lens, ocular disease management, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye treatment.

An active member of the American Academy of Optometry, Dr. Vang is dedicated to staying at the forefront of advancements in eye health to provide the highest standard of care to her community.

Outside the exam room, Dr. Vang cherishes time spent with her husband and their three beautiful children. She enjoys being outdoors, exploring creative projects through arts and crafts and DIY activities, and making lasting memories with her family and friends.

Dr. Vang will begin seeing patients in both Johnston and Altoona starting July 1st.
