We may not have been on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, but let me tell you — the party spirit was alive and well right here at home!
No flashing here, folks… these are senior apartments, not a reality show. 😄
The real stars of the day? The food! We feasted like royalty on gumbo piled high, and shrimp po’boy sandwiches so good we briefly considered starting our own French Quarter café. 🌶️🍤🥖
There were beads (worn tastefully) and enough laughter to float a parade float down the hallway.
Who says you have to be on Bourbon Street to celebrate Mardi Gras? Around here, we prove that the good times roll at any age! 🎉

Every year, incredible Altoona Elementary students pour their hearts into one of the sweetest traditions around 💕
They handcraft beautiful Valentine’s Day placemats filled with colorful designs and lots of love — all for the seniors in our community. What might seem like a simple art project becomes something so much bigger: a reminder that they are seen, valued, and remembered.
