A child drew this as a representation of a feeling. What feeling do you feel this represents?

Talking to your children about feelings is something that can take time and intention. Remember that over the holidays, it can cause a lot of tension between everyone. Children as well. Having safe and open communication can take some of the pressure off.

No, we do not specifically work with children, but we have plenty of peers that do have children. Practicing conversations with a peer support specialist and identifying community supports for your family, is something we can do!

Public health saves lives β€” not just in moments of crisis, but every day through prevention, education, data, and community support.

This , we’re recognizing the prevention specialists, overdose prevention teams, epidemiologists, helpline specialists, our own DDAP staff, local drug and alcohol offices, and countless others who power Pennsylvania’s prevention and community health system.

Your work protects communities, keeps help within reach, and strengthens the pathways that help people chart their own course toward stability and recovery.

Have you ever heard of a "suspended coffee"?! This is a small way to give back!

At our local coffee shop, Greenbean Coffee House, that we are featuring in this post, you can pay 1.95 and you will give someone who might come in wanting a warm beverage (or even a muffin) and not have the funds to purchase one, an opportunity to have that! (See their sign in the comments) With the cold weather setting in, this is an awesome way to let someone warm up!

We have come to find that many local and surrounding coffee shops offer this!

If you want to give back in a small way, ask your local coffee shop, and consider donating a coffee! Remember, one coffee can make someone's whole day a little better!

Stay warm everyone!

We have a daily challenge for you! Let's try it today and report back on how it feels!

Are you comfortable smiling at strangers?

Smiling at anyone can cause a ripple effect. You make someone else feel good, they return that to someone else! Remember, a simple smile can change the whole day!
