We had a wonderful experience on Saturday June 15. AseraCare Hospice of Altoona held a butterfly release in memory of our patients that have passed from April 1, 2023 through April 30th of this year. It is an honor and privilege to be a part of something so beautiful! Thanks again to the patients and families who have trusted us with this most special time of their lives and huge thanks to the staff for the care they give. RN opening for Altoona AseraCare hospice! We are in need of a weekend on call RN. This position covers calls from patients and/or families and this often requires a visit. Also does admissions and some routine visits for patients that require daily visits. We cover 7 counties so there is a lot of travel. The perks? Full time pay, don’t let the words on call fool you. That doesn’t mean you get paid $3/hour unless you are at a call. You get full time pay whether you get 10 visits a weekend or none. It is extremely rewarding and fulfilling work. Hospice volunteers make huge impacts on the lives of people and their families at the end of life. Whether by making a memory board with favorite pictures and life moments, sitting at a bedside, singing with a patient, making phone calls from the office to check in and see if they need anything running errands and so much more!
