We had a wonderful experience on Saturday June 15. AseraCare Hospice of Altoona held a butterfly release in memory of our patients that have passed from April 1, 2023 through April 30th of this year. It is an honor and privilege to be a part of something so beautiful! Thanks again to the patients and families who have trusted us with this most special time of their lives and huge thanks to the staff for the care they give. Huge thanks to Tyrone Borough for donating the pavilion space to us for the memorial and the singing group “Simply Grace” for the beautiful music! It was a special day! RN opening for Altoona AseraCare hospice! We are in need of a weekend on call RN. This position covers calls from patients and/or families and this often requires a visit. Also does admissions and some routine visits for patients that require daily visits. We cover 7 counties so there is a lot of travel. The perks? Full time pay, don’t let the words on call fool you. That doesn’t mean you get paid $3/hour unless you are at a call. You get full time pay whether you get 10 visits a weekend or none. It is extremely rewarding and fulfilling work.
