🌟 Team Member Introductions – Meet Katie P & Katie M! 🌟
This week we’re excited to recognize Katie P and Katie M, our incredible Social Workers here at Oakwood—and truly, the heart of our building 💙.
As our Lead Social Worker, Katie P guides the social services team and works closely alongside Katie M, who provides invaluable support in every aspect of the role. Together, they are often the very first faces our new residents and families get to know.
From managing new admissions, completing paperwork, and building relationships with residents and their loved ones, to coordinating discharge planning, Katie P and Katie M are there every step of the way.
They also lead care conferences with residents and families to discuss progression and goals of care, answer questions, and help bridge the gap—making sure everyone feels informed, supported, and heard.
💉 Fun fact: Katie M is also an LPN, bringing additional clinical knowledge and compassion to her work.
If you’ve ever walked past their office, you know it’s almost never empty—a true testament to how deeply they are trusted and relied upon. We are so grateful for everything they do and couldn’t imagine better people to be a new admission’s first solid contact.
