Losing an hour of sleep disrupts all of us, but it may be particularly impactful to those at higher risk of heart attack or stroke. Research shows that both medical emergencies are more common in the days after a time change.

There’s no need to panic; however, just be aware of the signs and contact emergency medical services if necessary: https://nuvi.me/uumg97

Happy Social Work Month to these vital members of our hospice team!

Our social workers help our patients and families through a complex and emotional period, providing therapeutic counseling, assistance with advance directives, and connections to outside resources.

Today is a day to acknowledge the important work that hospitalists do!

They are the conductors of inpatient care, and their careful coordination is key to making sure patients are properly cared for inside and outside the hospital.

Thank you to these professionals who help patients find the next stop in their healthcare journey.

Dialysis can be a lifeline, but in hospice, the travel, time, and fatigue are no longer necessary.

Instead, we manage the symptoms of kidney failure to make sure that dealing with end-stage kidney disease is as peaceful, comfortable, and dignified as possible.

Volunteers are an essential part of our team. You will not only be helping patients but their loved ones as well. An hour or two a week can provide extraordinary compassion and support to those in need.

Many volunteer opportunities are available – from working with patients and families to non-patient-related activities.

Our hospice care team is even stronger with the help of our amazing volunteers. The gift of your time helps improve the quality of life for patients and families during this journey. ❤️

So many people hear the word 𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘦 and think "this is the end." But hospice isn't about giving up. It's about choosing how you want to live when time matters most.❤️

Hospice focuses on comfort instead of cure. it brings a full team of support right to you and your loved one. It creates space for meaningful conversation, dignity, pain relief, and moments that truly matter.

Families often say they wish they had chosen hospice sooner - not because they were ready to say goodbye, but because they experienced more peace, more support, and more quality time together.

Let's stop fearing hospice - and start understanding and embracing it.

If this resonates with you, share this video. Someone you love may need to hear it.💙

Gallbladder and Bile Duct cancers are often silent until later stages, which can make their diagnosis a shock.

For families navigating this difficult terrain, the speed of the disease can be overwhelming.

Our role in hospice is to be the steady ground when everything else is moving too fast. With our spiritual assistance and counseling, we can help families find peace while also providing necessary comfort care.

When we talk about heart disease, you may imagine blocked arteries. Heart Valve Disease is different.

Think of your heart like a house. Coronary artery disease is a problem with the pipes (blockages). Heart Valve Disease is a problem with the doors. If the valves don't open or close tightly, the heart has to work overtime to push blood through.

To manage this, we use medication to manage fluid build-up and reduce strain. This can reduce breathing difficulties and increase comfort.

Whatever your heart condition, we can help address it. Reach out to us for more information.
