Here at Grane Hospice, we recognize the importance of remembering your loved ones. Last evening, we held our Annual Fulton County Memorial Service. Our Bereavement and Chaplain team do an incredible job of making these events so special, for all involved. It’s a time to remember and celebrate those who have touched many lives- our very own staff included. Our time spent with some is short, but the impact is a lifetime.

We would like to thank Wild Annies in McConnellsburg for accommodating and the families and staff who joined us for this special evening.

We had the privilege of walking in the Downtown Altoona Veterans Day Parade today. Thank you to some of our amazing Volunteers and Therapy Dogs for braving the cold temperatures to join us. ❄️

Centre Care staff and CPI Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology LPN clinical group, had the opportunity to participate in our Virtual Dementia Training.

The Virtual Dementia Tour that Grane offers is the original patented, evidence-based method of building a greater understanding of Dementia, by bringing awareness and empathy in individuals caring for those living with the disease.

The goal of this training is to:
-Enhance training and development by providing a hands-on learning experience.
-Improve resident outcomes by fostering patient- centered care that leads to better interactions and well-being.
-Strengthen team collaboration by uniting staff with a shared understanding of Dementia challenges.

A huge thank you to everyone who made our first Trunk or Treat event, a success. Thank you for coming out and spending the afternoon with us. We loved seeing all of the costumes and all of the smiles! We are already looking forward to our next community event. 🎃
