Mid-winter ice is no joke and neither are the injuries from slipping and falling. Protect yourself with these simple tips:
- Walk like a penguin with short, flat-footed steps
- Keep hands out of pockets for better balance
- Stick to snow where you can for more traction
- Use handrails on steps and ramps
- Use ice cleats for extra traction
