Did you know that qualifying residents of Last Frontier Healthcare District who have paid their special property tax assessment are eligible to redeem a $150 voucher toward medical services at MMC?

To determine voucher eligibility, please follow these steps:
1. Obtain your parcel number from the Modoc County Assessor's Office, (530) 233-6218.
2. Present your parcel number to MMC Patient Financial Services by phone at (530) 708-8819 to see if you qualify!

PLEASE NOTE: Vouchers are valid for two years, with an expiration date printed on the physical voucher. If you don't plan to utilize your voucher, it may be applied to the medical expenses of someone in your household. Vouchers may not be sold or otherwise distributed to those outside of the unique property owner/dependent. The property owner/dependent will not be reimbursed for unused or expired vouchers. Lost vouchers CANNOT be replaced.

We lost our beloved friend, colleague, and ER Hospitalist, Chantele Stover, PA-C on December 6, 2025. We want to share the following details regarding forthcoming services for those interested.

Services will be held December 23 and 24, 2025 at Sacred Heart Parish (Anderson) located at 3141 St. Stephens Drive in Anderson, California. An Evening Vigil will be held on Tuesday, December 23 with the sanctuary opening at 5:00 pm, Rosary Prayer at 5:30 pm, and the Vigil at 6:00 pm. The funeral will occur on December 24 at 11:00 am with a reception to follow.

Planning is underway for a celebration of life in Alturas to take place early next year. We will update you with those details as soon as they become available.

We are forever grateful Chantele chose to make Alturas and Modoc Medical Center her home. She joined us in 2018 as a Hospitalist PA and quickly became a trusted provider serving patients in our hospital, clinic, skilled nursing facility, and emergency department. Throughout her time with MMC, she was a force in patient advocacy and a beacon of light in our community and beyond. Her tangible empathy, contagious laughter, unrelenting faith, and profound love of others made us all better. Chantele's lasting example will continue to inspire excellence in our service to our patients and greater community. She is deeply missed.

🎅🏻 Help us support Modoc County Office of Education's Holiday Stockings for Heroes drive! Each year, SEALS and MCOE preschool students put together these stockings for active duty troops who are deployed overseas as well as veterans at the Reno VA hospital.

⌛ TIME IS RUNNING OUT! Monday, 11/17 is the last day to drop off donation items. Please bring them to donation boxes at MMC's main facility, Canby Clinic, and/or MMC Physical Therapy.
