April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Awareness matters. Listening matters. And Believing Children matters.
Help Spread Awareness!

💙 THE TRUTH ABOUT DISCLOSURE 💙

Most people think they would know if a child was being abused… but the reality is very different.

👉 Only 1 in 10 children ever tell, which tells us 90% of children will not ever tell.
👉 Many children delay disclosure for months or even years
👉 And despite common belief, false reports are rare

‼️Children are far more likely to NOT DISCLOSE than to lie! When a child is brave enough to tell, we have a responsibility to believe them.‼️

This is is why awareness matters.
This is why listening matters.
This is why believing children matters.

💬 Take a moment and ask yourself…
Would you recognize the signs if a child trusted you enough to tell?

📣 Help us spread awareness:

💙 Drop a blue heart if you support protecting children

Some of the top procedures JCMH patients are using MD Save for this month - CT Scans, Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), General XRays, and MRIs.
MD Save is a great option to think about getting cash-discount prices when you have high out-of-pocket health expenses.

if this fits your situation, ask your nurse or provider about easy ways to package your costs!

Congratulations to Emilia Lopez, our April Employee of the Month!
Emilia is a Senior Process Improvement Leader in Patient Accounting. She has been at JCMH for 13 years.
Some of her job duties include assistant Centralized Scheduling with daily and managerial tasks, and assisting patient accounting with denial claims.
Her nominators say about her, “We had an account from 2023 that Emila worked on diligently. She escalated through multiple departments with the insurance company over the two years it took to get paid. This is just one example of her dedication. She is a valuable asset to the hospital with her determination and extensive payor knowledge. She always helps others with their questions, and is available to all staff no matter what she is working on. She cares about every claim and every patient and works hard to get paid for what is rightfully owed to us.”
Thank you, Emilia, for going Above and Beyond for JCMH!
