Northwest Family Services, Inc. is seeking a qualified applicant for a Community Resource Coordinator. The applicant must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with experience presenting to groups of children or adults. Some of the job duties would include: educational resource information and referrals for services, work with school counselors/administrators to identify the needs of the local school district, life skill building groups, school programs/presentations, and other agency duties as the need arises. This position will require travel as we provide services in Woods, Alfalfa and Major Counties. Applications can be picked up at Northwest Family Services, 620 Flynn, Alva, Ok. Built in 2018, the Vera Mae Home provides a safe environment for sibling-sets who are in foster care to live. Since opening, three families have lived in the Vera Mae Home serving 10 sibling sets (33 children). We are now looking for a new family to move in, if interested or just want more information please message or call.

We all want to be in healthy relationships, but how do know we if someone is a good fit for us, how do we protect ourselves and our loved ones from getting hurt. Join us for this 12-week group to learn what a healthy relationship really looks like, things you can do to improve good relationships, and how to set safe boundaries in relationships that are more challenging.
