I had typed all this and I guess it didn’t post 😒
I made this page for my girls to spread awareness and give up dates about their blood disorder most of y’all didn’t know about but their story deserves to be out there .
Anaya was diagnosed with hereditary elliptocytosis in 2019 which is a real RARE blood disorder that effects the red blood cells in the condition the RBCs assume an elliptical shape rather than the typical round shape blood is compromised of red blood cells, platelets, and various white blood cells sadly the only “cure” is blood transfusion when their hemoglobin is breaking down . It’s a disorder they will have for the rest of their lives .
In June of 2022 they heard a heart murmur on Anaya she sees the cardiologist the 28th of July I will update here when we know more .
Alayna was diagnosed when she was born because they new exactly what to treat for. It’s the exact same as her sisters Anaya . We watch for the same signs . Any fever we have to go straight to the hospital and have a room waiting for us . They can’t be out in the heat or cold it triggers it . They haven’t really got to enjoy their summer because of the heat it hurts my heart.
I made this page to give up dates here and spread awareness of this RARE disorder .
I am a stay at home mom and jamaal works to provide everything for us so if any of y’all find it in y’all’s heart to help any way it’s more than welcome 🫶🏼 but a prayer is enough ❤️
