Feeling persistently sluggish or lacking motivation? A LOT of us do.
The living conditions of our fast-paced, modern society tend to inevitably lead in that direction. Fundamental necessities of being a healthy human like getting a restful 7-8 hours of sleep at night and eating nutrient and protein-dense food are actively de-emphasized in lieu of a frenetic, money-focused 'life in the fast lane.'
In this post, following the work of one of my favorite active psychologists, I highlight six factors that can help restore balance and get you feeling energized again. Best of all, they're all free or cheap! Although, granted, it's not always easy to get in the habit of prioritizing them again if it's a new thing for you, or something you haven't done in a while.
If that's the case, working with myself or one of my colleagues in the mental health professions might be a great investment of time and resources. Contrary to some commonly held perceptions, you don't have to be in a mental health crisis to see a mental health professional! In fact, it's a really great idea to not wait that long. Being proactive costs some money on the front end, but might save you a lot of time, resources, stress, and heartache further on down the line.
