Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Amarillo Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Amarillo is a major center for health care. TTUHSC is home to Texas Tech Physicians of Amarillo.

If you are looking for a new physician, we would love to help. Our departments include Family Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Geriatrics and Psychiatry. In an effort to provide across-the-board medical care, TTUHSC also offers the Breast Center of Excellence. In addition to providing excellent patient care to residents throughout the Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma and New Mexico, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center proudly teaches the next generation of physicians and pharmacists. Texas Tech Physicians OB+GYN is proud to welcome Shaun Wesley, M.D., back to the Panhandle!

Dr. Wesley is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with specialized training in maternal-fetal medicine. He provides advanced, high-risk pregnancy care and expert support for mothers and babies facing complex medical or obstetric conditions.

Dr. Wesley recently stopped by Studio 4 to share more about his return and how his work in maternal-fetal medicine will benefit families across the Panhandle.

His return to the Panhandle means families across our region can access advanced care for complicated pregnancies without having to travel out of town. was honored to support this year's Valerie Kiper Memorial ALS Golf Tournament, celebrating the life and legacy of Valerie Kiper, DNP, whose leadership and compassion shaped nursing education and health care in Amarillo and beyond.

As a longtime faculty member and advocate, Dr. Kiper devoted her career to advancing nursing education, mentoring future health care professionals, and improving care for patients and families across the Panhandle.

The tournament benefits Team Gleason and increases awareness and support for those affected by ALS in the region. Team Gleason works to empower people living with ALS through access to assistive technology, innovative equipment and life-enhancing experiences—carrying forward the same compassion and advocacy that defined Dr. Kiper’s life and work.

✨Let's go girls!✨

The Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health invites girls in fifth through eighth grades and their female guardians to Girl Power on Nov. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Amarillo Civic Center. This special event will feature Amy Stark, M.D., the regional chair of psychiatry at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, as this year's keynote speaker. Dr. Stark will share an inspiring and empowering message designed to foster confidence, resilience and connection for young girls and the women in their lives.

Did you know getting the flu shot during pregnancy is a safe and effective way to protect both you and your baby from serious illness? The vaccine helps prevent complications, supports a healthy pregnancy and even provides your newborn with early protection after birth.

Flu shots are available at the Amarillo Pharmaceutical Care Center (APCC), located inside Texas Tech Physicians.

We offer:
⚫ Regular trivalent flu (Fluzone) for those 7 and older
⚫ Egg-free flu (Flublok) for those 18 and older with egg or certain other allergies
⚫ High-dose flu (Fluzone HD) for those 65 and older

Stop by for your immunization Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 5 p.m. APCC provides all vaccines and injections, excluding Provera.
