I am a native Texan and grew up in San Antonio. My Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology was earned at Texas A&M University, College Station, where I also received a minor in Chemistry. I spent a year at Boston University School of Medicine in the Masters Program in Biomedical Sciences. I then received my Doctor of Medicine Degree from The University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio Medical School. My Pediatric Residency was completed at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio and I have been practicing in Amarillo since 2002. I am living out my dream of caring for children from the time of their birth through graduation and am blessed to be a part of my patients' lives. I understand the importance a parent places on entrusting the healthcare of their child in the hands of a competent physician. I value the relationships I develop with my families. I enjoy serving my community through causes that are dear to my heart. I have served on the board for the March of Dimes, I volunteer regularly at the Crisis Pregnancy Center, and served as the former Chief of Pediatrics at Northwest Texas Hospital. I am honored to have the opportunity to provide the best of care to your child and am excited to have you join the CHA family. On a personal note, I am recently married to David McKenzie and am looking forward to my new life with him and am blessed with two step kids. David and I have also recently embarked on a new journey as foster parents. We are now anxiously awaiting for a child in need to be placed us.
