We're looking for a new doctor's assistant for our Amarillo Office. This is a full time position. Monday through Friday 8:30 - 5:30. As a doctors assistant, your main role is to take the patient through the work-up process and gather as much usable information as possible to help the doctor fill the patients needs. The core principle of the position is to increase the efficiency of the doctor, and increase the patients experience. Common tasks include: using medical testing equipment, teaching insertion and removal of contacts, data entry, sanitizing equipment, working up patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones. This job requires good time management skills, along with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of people. We're looking to hire a full time medical receptionist for our Amarillo office. This position is Monday through Friday 8:30 - 5:30. As a receptionist, you'll be helping greet patients, answer phones, gather insurance information, collect patient balances, and prepare paperwork. You'll also be entering data int electronic medical records, so familiarity with computer software is a plus. To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a positive personality (this is a customer service role). You should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Listening and building relationships are essential for this position. Due to the Amarillo shelter in place announcement today, our office will be temporarily closed. Starting Tomorrow, March 30th, we will be closed for two weeks. Dear friends in the community,

We know many of our valued patients and customers are assessing the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus. Our thoughts are with you and your families during this uncertain time.

We want to inform you that we are making serious efforts to continue serving you as best as possible, while at the same time listening and complying with local and state recommendations and protecting the health of the community.

At this time, we are planning to see patients as usual, but there are a few things that will help.
~We ask that if you are sick or have a cough to reschedule your visit with us.
~We also ask that you don’t bring friends or family with you if you can avoid it. It will help prevent our office from becoming crowded.
~Also, if you’re in a high-risk group due to age or underlying medical condition please let us reschedule you for a later time.

We may experience slight delays in eyeglass or contact lens deliveries or reduced staff, but we will work diligently to keep these disruptions to a minimum.

We are looking for a receptionist for our Amarillo Location. Experience in eye care or the medical industry is helpful but not required. As a receptionist, you'll help by controlling the flow of the office, scheduling appointments, gathering insurance information and checking out patients at the end of their visit. This job requires good people skills, so a positive and friendly attitude is a must. In addition, strong organizational skills and familiarity with computer work is important. A typical day will include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, gathering insurance information, preparing patient charts, scanning documents and helping others with the overall office flow.
