Because nothing screams “healthier choices” like ice cream and fries, right? But hey, when life gives you DQ, you better believe we're making it a sweet, cheesy, delicious day. 🚨 Big news, folks! 🚨

We’ve just added two incredible gems to our squad, and honestly, they might be too awesome for one team. Meet Destinee Green—our new HR superstar, here to keep things running smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy—and Stevie Lockhart—our Activities Director, the master of making sure we actually have fun outside of work.

Destinee’s got the skills to make HR look like a walk in the park (which, let’s be honest, it kind of is with her around). And Stevie? Well, she’s the woman turning our workplace into the most happening place this side of a Friday night.

So, let’s give a warm, virtual high five (or a slow clap, we don’t judge) to Destinee and Stevie! We’re pretty sure they’re going to make our team even more awesome—and maybe even teach us how to dance at the next office party. 💃🕺

🚨 Breaking News from Five Points Nursing & Rehab! 🚨

Today, Martha and the deliciously talented Dietary Team whipped up a feast that’s basically a hug in food form. Think cheese manicotti so cheesy it’s practically a whisper of Italy, sautéed zucchini that’s more zest than vegetable, and garlic that’s so good it should come with a warning. Oh, and bread. Because bread makes everything better.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better — hello, strawberry bread and pudding! Because why not sprinkle a little extra magic on a Monday ?

Big shoutout to the team for turning the dining room into a five-star restaurant (or at least making it feel like one). Bon appétit, y’all! 🍝🥒🧄🍓🍞🍮

🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ Join Us in the Fight Against Alzheimer’s — Together, We Can Make a Difference 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

On Saturday, September 20, our Area 4 family of Creative Solutions buildings — including Five Points Nursing & Rehab, Amarillo Center for Skilled Care,, Landmark of Amarillo, Georgia Manor Nursing Home, Great Plains Nursing and Rehabilitation, and Caprock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center — are coming together to raise awareness and support for those affected by Alzheimer’s.

Here’s the schedule:
🕘 Festivities begin at 9:00 a.m.
🎤 Ceremony kicks off at 10:00 a.m.
🚶‍♂️ The walk starts at 10:30 a.m. — and we’d love for you to join us.

🎉 Employee Appreciation Spotlight! 🎉

Today, we want to give a big shoutout to our amazing maintenance man, Roman Delgado! Roman has been working hard to keep our front entrance looking sharp — even battling a feud with the pigeons! 🐦🛡️ Thanks to his dedication, he’s finally got those pesky birds under control, and our front door is now pigeon-free! 🙌

To celebrate his hard work, we put together a fun video featuring Roman stepping out the front door, set to some cool, "bad to the bone" music that introduces a legendary bull rider — a $7 million athlete! 🤠🔥 It’s just a little fun to show how much we appreciate Roman’s efforts and spirit.

Today, Martha and the culinary wizards in our dietary team whipped up a feast fit for royalty — or at least, very hungry residents. 🎩🍽️

We’re talkin’ tender steak topped with a zesty horseradish cream, a baked potato loaded with all the fixins, sautéed broccoli that’s basically a green party on your plate, and a honey-kissed roll that’s sweeter than your grandma’s hugs. 🥔🥦🥖

Oh, and let’s not forget the steak sauce for that perfect dunk, followed by a cheesecake topped with strawberries to make your sweet tooth sing. 🍓🍰

Big shoutout to Martha and the team for making today’s meal a five-star experience — because here at Five Points, we believe good food is the key to good vibes. ✨

🔥🍔🎉 Today at Five Points Nursing & Rehab, we turned up the heat! Cristian our DON whipped up some mouthwatering burgers and sausage links that had everyone’s taste buds dancing — and yes, even the staff got in on the delicious action. Because nothing says “celebration” like good food and great company!

Meanwhile, our Activities director Stevie was on a mission — searching high and low for the perfect bingo game, because what’s a Fourth of July bash without a little friendly competition? (Spoiler: We’re pretty sure she found the best one.)

And of course, we couldn’t forget the classic co****le and refreshing drinks to keep everyone cool and smiling all afternoon.

Christian Murga, a dedicated leader at Five Points Nursing and Rehabilitation, has been named Nurse Director of the Year among 165 directors across Texas. His passion for caring for others and his commitment to excellence are truly remarkable.

Here’s his story — a testament to hard work, family support, and a desire to serve our diverse community. We’re proud to celebrate his achievement and his vision to extend quality healthcare to our Hispanic community.

Amarillo, Texas (KEYU) - A healthcare leader in the region has been honored as Nurse Director of the Year.

Out of 165 directors in Texas, Christian Murga received this prestigious award recognizing his exceptional leadership and commitment to the healthcare community.

Murga has been the director at Five Points Nursing and Rehabilitation for three years and credits all his success to his incredible staff and the support of his family.

“Having a family that is there for you every day and understands that sometimes you'll need to stay late and then come in early some days to make sure everyone is happy here in this building means a lot,” says Murga.

Murga says this award was a big surprise for him.

“We have a good team, and many of the nurses here speak Spanish, so I would love to extend our services to our Hispanic population and continue providing the best healthcare,” states Murga.

His team says Murga always has a smile, a positive attitude, and a passion for helping people.

“He has compassion to help others,” shares María Chacón, compliance nurse at Five Points Nursing & Rehabilitation. “Residents here know him, and their families do too. He is an example for many people and for what they can achieve.”

Chacón says that Murga’s success is a testament to his dedication and the high standards of healthcare he provides.

Murga says he is proud of his team and will continue to offer the best healthcare to anyone who comes to the nursing home or rehabilitation center.
