The CMS Guide Model is a program available to traditional Medicare beneficiaries with a dementia diagnosis. It includes a dedicated care coordinator, a 24/7 support line, a personalized care plan and 82 hours per year in respite caregiver relief provided by ComPassion at Home. We are often asked to help individuals decipher the difference between Personal Care Services and Home Health Care.

If you need assistance for you or a loved one to help with tasks such as light housekeeping, meal prep, and most of all – companionship – you need Personal Care Services. In the Amarillo region, we serve under the name ComPassion At Home. In the Lubbock region, we serve under the name Compassion Personal Care Services (CPCS).

In need of more extended care to include recovering from illness, injury, a recent medical procedure or managing chronic illness? That falls under home health services. Again, in the Amarillo region, we serve under the name BSA-Compassion Home Health, and in the Lubbock Region, under the name Compassion Home Health Care.
