Meet Tanya! She’s one of the incredible school-based occupational therapists who spends her days supporting kiddos in their classrooms. 📚✏️

“I recommend that parents spend time doing crafts and playing games with their children,” Tanya said. “Activities like making a craft or playing a board game can be so rewarding. Children get quality time with their parents while also learning functional skills that will be important later in life.” 💙

For the first staff feature of 2026, we bring you our fearless leader, Regan! She looks just as natural at a fundraising event as she does treating kiddos… Regan is truly one-of-a-kind! 🤩💙

“I love a good obstacle course!” Regan said. “These can be done anywhere and you don’t have to use any toys or equipment. You can work on following a sequence, motor planning and coordination, task completion, strength, and so much more depending on what you use! It’s also a great sensory-friendly activity and an easy way to get some wiggles out.”

We are so excited for 2026!

As we return to the clinic, we need your help updating our records:

- Patient Information Update forms are available at the front desk. Please fill one out for each patient at your first 2026 appointment.

- If your insurance has changed, provide your new card to the front desk or call (806) 353-3596.

- We are in the process of verifying benefits and assigning new Insurance Benefit Forms in Raintree. Please check your portal this week and fill out and sign your forms as soon as they become available.

- Kids grow up fast! We will take new photos of each patient for our files.

Thanks for your help! We can’t wait to see you. 💙

Today we honored the first-ever Turn Center Bold Star, Chase Young! This peer-nominated award was created to recognize staff members who embody Turn Center’s values, go above and beyond in their role, demonstrate innovation and teamwork, and create meaningful impact. 🌟

If you’ve met Chase, you know his passion. When he isn’t inside the clinic living out our mission, he is sharing stories with people on the outside! He’s always smiling and works hard every day to better himself so that he can better serve his patients. We’re lucky to have him, and we’re honored to recognize him! 💙

Say hi to Addie! Our Outpatient OT Lead is a skilled therapist, a fun friend, and a go-getter… not to mention she’s a pro when it comes to our many dress-up days. 💪🤩

“I love using the parachute! Taking things back to elementary school PE - it’s a nostalgic activity that targets crucial developmental skills like bilateral coordination, hand strength, and grasping,” Addie said.

She also offers this advice to parents: “Provide your child with the opportunity to attempt an activity before offering assistance. For example, getting dressed. Sometimes more is less, and who knows? They might be able to do more than you think!”

Say hi to Chase! He’s passionate about giving every child a voice, whether through verbal speech or an alternative device. 💙🗣️

Chase’s favorite activity doesn’t require any toys or equipment - just love and time from a caregiver. “These are called People Play activities,” he explained. “They require the parent to build routines using sounds and words with their child through playing with them. This could be simple like tickles or peek-a-boo, or even something more complex like ‘Superman’ when the parent lies on their back on the floor and holds the child up with their legs or feet.”

Ericca, you’re a star! 🤩 Fun fact: this sweet Speechie was Holly’s student. She fell in love with Turn Center and we were lucky to snag her three years ago when she graduated!

“My favorite therapy toys are character figurines,” she said. “Things like Mickey Mouse or superheroes work on increasing vocabulary, verbs, exclamatory words, and pretend play!”
