W sitting is a common position for toddlers and young kids when they’re playing on the floor. They sit with their knees bent and feet flared out behind them, forming what looks like a “W” when viewed from above. W-sitting is common in kids, but it can affect posture, hip strength, and core stability if it becomes a habit. Encouraging children to sit in more supportive positions and keeping them active throughout the day can help promote healthy development. Small changes in how they sit and move can make a big difference in the long term!
