I was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and have to apologize to all my wonderful clients who made appointments that I forgot to put on my calendar, or the questions or comments I repeated without realizing it, or the times I couldn’t remember where your target issues were located and kept asking if I missed an area that needed additional attention.

I’m so grateful to you for your patience, support and kindness. I truly consider you to be far more than “customers/clients”. You’ve been friends and I want you to know how much your loyalty, referrals and support have meant over the past 16 years. I’ve love working with you. I will be taking 2-4 appointments each week for as long I’m physically and mentally capable. I will miss you very much! With many thanks and much gratitude! Karen Lucius

Some people are just REALLY struggling with a low IQ. Why would it be located in the DAIRY section of the grocery store? If a child or family member has a severe allergy to milk products, shoppers should be reading every label on all consumable products to prevent the possibility of anaphylactic shock? I don’t know how this could possibly be a surprise…. What do they THINK real butter is made from? Plant oils, petroleum products? Bizarro World! 😂

We discovered this really unusual “photoreactive” gemstone in a shop in Estes Park, CO. I had no idea that certain natural gemstones could change color dependent on the light source until the lady running the shop took the ring out of the showcase under fluorescent lights and it appeared to be an Amethyst, took it out into the sunlight and it turned emerald in color and took out a penlight that was like the light from a flashlight and it turned a topaz yellow-gold, and back under the light from a lamp lavendertook it out and showed us how the color of the ring changes dramatically depending on the amount and type of light to which it’s exposed, from a pale yellow, to orange, red, rust, lavender, purple, blue or green. Now I’m hooked!”

Parenting doesn’t come with an all-encompassing user manua and it’s not always easy, but some decisions we make on behalf of our kids can make them more poised, confident, motivated and socially responsible. We need the help of our social organizations, school and families to help our kids stay physically, mentally, emotionally and socially healthy. What science has found is that the more time kids spend on technology, the less time they spend interacting with others in face to face play, conversation and exploring the people and places where they are?
