If your child sticks a small object in their nose (bead, pea, small toy), don’t panic! Before heading to the ER, you can try this safe, doctor-recommended method:
✨ It’s quick
✨ It’s non-invasive
✨ It often works instantly
👩‍👧 How to do it:
1️⃣ Stay calm and reassure your child
2️⃣ Place your mouth over theirs to create a seal
3️⃣ Gently block the clear nostril with your finger
4️⃣ Give one short, firm puff of air
The burst of air pressure can push the object out!
⚠️ Only try this if:
The object is visible and not sharp
Your child is breathing comfortably
It’s NOT a battery or magnet
If it doesn’t work after a couple tries — seek medical care.
