I have decided to begin a little segment called, “Life Lessons with Leeanne”. In this segment, I will offer a captivating rollercoaster of emotions in the real life experiences I live alongside you. May I offer you the very first, in all of its real life humor…

~Life Lessons with Leeanne 101 ~

In the event that you ever become curious - or your untamed ADHD brain is granted a rare and reckless free-range moment - and you suddenly think, at FULL VOLUME, “SELF!!! It is a FANTASTIC idea to add your Liquid I.V. to your La Croix!!!”

Stop.

No - don’t stop after you open the packet. Stop now.
Do not let the curiosity win. Do not let the feral ADHD take the wheel. Do not ignore the tiny, barely audible voice whispering right before you pour that says, “Self… this is not a fantastic idea.” And for the love of your dignity, your upholstery, and the innocent bystanders in the school pickup line - do not do this in your car. Because you will experience a Mentos-meets-Coke event of biblical proportions and immediately regret every life choice that led you to this moment. Your La Croix will continue fizzing long after the explosion, defying the laws of physics, and will eventually grow what can only be described as an eyeball staring at you. Judging you. Calling you an idiot in silence.

Moral of this Life Lesson with Leeanne?

Always listen to the quiet voice. It knows things.

With you in healing,
Leeanne

November.

Ten months and a lifetime in the past.

November.

One more month in the year and a lifetime ahead.

November.

The month of thankfulness.

November.

The month when the hustle and bustle escalates.

November.

For some the beginning of a joyful season.

November.

For some the beginning of a season less desired.

November.

Know that wherever you fall on the scale of November, you are valid, you are seen, you are worthy, and your mental health matters.

With you in healing,
Leeanne

I am a Mental Health Therapist with a calling to help individuals and families navigate through mental health and wellness, as well as life after trauma. With over a decade of experience, I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families facing challenges such as trauma, crisis, anxiety, PTSD, abuse recovery.

I hold a Master’s in Social Work—specializing in Children and Families—from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from West Texas A&M University. My professional journey includes more than 1,600 forensic interviews conducted during my time as a Forensic Interviewer at The Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center. I have also served vulnerable student populations as a Mental Health Therapist in Amarillo ISD’s McKinney-Vento program and as a Related Services Counselor in Canyon ISD.

This experience has shaped my belief that every person has the inner strength to heal — often just needing the right support to identify the heart of the issue. I am passionate about creating a space where clients feel safe, seen, and empowered — a space where healing can truly begin.

In addition to my clinical work, I am committed to advancing trauma-informed care across communities. I regularly educate professionals on child abuse, trauma, and resilience, equipping others to recognize, respond to, and support those affected by trauma with empathy and expertise.

I believe that healing is not only possible — it’s transformative. My work is driven by the belief that with the right support, individuals can reclaim peace, purpose, and power in their lives.

It is an honor to have you here! I would love to hear from you and share more with you!

With You in Healing,
Leeanne
