Learn the basics such as: safe cooking temperatures; what oils/fats to use if needed; how to grill, sear, and use the oven; and how to prepare vegetables. Start simple. Teach your kids.

Starting a meal with tortilla chips is the best! It’s also terrible for your body. I try to leave bread and chips alone until after my meal. Like a dessert. However, if I just can’t wait, I’ll order some guacamole so that I’m getting some fat and a little bit of protein. This reduces the sugar/insulin explosion from chips.
