This week, we'd like to take a moment to highlight Rynn, our dedicated Certified Yoga Therapist and Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy Clinical Facilitator who has spent over 15 years serving children, teens, and adults in our Amarillo community. As a survivor of sexual assault, Rynn brings a deeply personal understanding of the healing power of yoga and expressive arts.

Through their work, Rynn creates space for survivors to express themselves without the need for words, empowering them to shift from merely surviving to truly thriving. By fostering safety and agency within the body, they help individuals reclaim their sense of self in ways that are both authentic and accessible.

Rynn’s work is a beautiful reminder of the strength and resilience within each of us, and we are honored to have them as part of our community.

If you are interested in joining one of our FREE trauma informed yoga sessions please feel free to join us every Tuesday from 6:30–7:30 PM at Family Support Services or virtually on Thursdays from 1:00–2:00 PM.

Trauma-informed yoga focuses on empowering and invitational language, focused on choices.

Throughout class you might hear me say things like:

"As you're ready"
"If you'd like"
"You are in control of your practice"

Remember that there is no right or wrong way to participate in this practice. I am here just as a support—you know your body best.

Many of us know that trauma can live in the body, but did you know that healing can too?

Unlike traditional yoga, trauma-informed yoga is designed with a deep understanding of how trauma affects both the body and mind. This practice creates a safe and empowering space for healing, focusing on choice, breath, and mindful movement to reduce stress, ease anxiety, and support your journey to wellness.

📅 Join us for Trauma-Informed Yoga:
🧘‍♀️ In-Person: Tuesdays 6:30-7:30 PM at Family Support Services
💻 Virtual Option: Thursdays 1:00-2:00 PM (Contact us for the link)
