We often serve families who are unsure if the person who died would want a funeral or any kind of gathering, especially when they never felt tied to a church or used to shrug and say, "Skip the fuss." We understand that.

We also see how even a small gathering or ritual can open the door to connection in ways that surprise people. Those simple moments often stand out later because they felt honest, personal, and exactly right for the family. If you'd like to talk through options, our team is ready to listen and guide you.

Have you considered who you'll trust to know your funeral choices?

Your family will face some big decisions when they're planning your celebration of life. Should they choose burial or cremation? What kind of service would you want? Would you prefer your favorite hymn or that song you always sang along to in the car?

They might second-guess every choice if they don't know your preferences. But when you've shared these thoughts with someone you trust, they can guide the family with confidence and know they're honoring exactly what mattered to you.

(And while you're having that conversation, ask those you love what they'd want, too.)

Who in your life will you trust to carry your voice forward?

When you notice something wonderful about someone, tell them. Your words today could stay with them for years. Grief isolates people even when they're surrounded by others, and a genuine compliment or shared memory brings unexpected comfort.

Offer a kind word or simply be present without trying to fix anything. Someone in your life needs to hear something good about themselves today.

"Can we plan a funeral service with cremation?" Yes.

Cremation gives you flexibility with timing and format, but you can still have a traditional service if that feels right for your family. Some families hold a service with the body present before cremation, while others prefer a memorial after cremation with the urn present. Both are meaningful. We help you plan what honors your loved one best.

Have you considered whether burial or cremation feels right for you?

Some people know immediately which choice fits them better. Maybe you picture yourself laid to rest in the family plot near your parents, or maybe you prefer the idea of your cremated remains lawfully scattered somewhere you loved. Both options give your family a way to honor you, and both come with their own considerations.

Telling your family which direction you lean takes one big question off their shoulders when they're already overwhelmed. If you're somewhere in the middle or honestly don't have a preference, that's worth saying too. Your family will feel better making the choice if they know they're following your lead. And rest assured that we’ll be there to guide them.
