Getting a flu vaccine is one of the easiest and most effective ways to protect yourself and your loved ones from seasonal illness. We're thrilled to announce that we will have three opportunities for free flu shots!

📅 Wednesday, October 8 & Wednesday, October 15 (Drive-thru clinics)
📍 OSF Saint Katharine Circle Drive
🕘 8 - 10 a.m., Noon - 1 p.m. and 3 - 6 p.m.

📅 Saturday, October 18 during the Dixon Scarecrow Festival
📍 OSF Saint Katharine - Town Square Centre (Stop by our booth)
🕘 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Flu shots will be available free of charge, thanks to the OSF Foundation. Please note that these are for ages 9 and older and high-dose flu vaccines will not be available. Please contact your primary care provider for a high-does vaccine.

Congratulations to Audra Suter, our third-quarter OSF Saint Katharine Sunflower Award Winner! 🌻

The OSF Sunflower Award honors caregivers who go above and beyond in delivering compassionate, skilled care, and Audra, one of our mammography technicians, truly embodies that spirit.

One patient shared:
"Audra put me at ease and walked me through every step. I’ve had her before during a wire procedure before breast tumor surgery, and she made sure I was okay—physically and emotionally. Especially as a young woman in my 20s, I never thought I’d face this. But Audra was completely present and made me feel not alone. We’re proud to honor Kaitlynn Pfeiffer, RN, as one of our third-quarter DAISY Award recipients—a recognition for nurses who go above and beyond in delivering compassionate, expert care.

Kaitlynn’s heroic moment happened not within the hospital, but at her brother's baseball game. When a spectator collapsed, she immediately stepped in to help, performing CPR alongside another nurse and a physician for over 20 minutes until EMS arrived. Thanks to her quick action, the woman survived.

Kaitlynn’s courage and compassion, on and off the clock, are a true reflection of what it means to be a nurse. 💙
