There is no safe level of radon, however, the EPA states that homes over 4.0 pci/L (measurement of radioactivity) should be strongly considered for mitigation. Unfortunately, Utah has high concentrations of radon gas within the ground. Here is a snapshot of average radon levels of some of the more highly populated areas in Utah according to the Utah Department of Environmental Quality as of 2019.
The only way to know is to test!
