Hey everybody, we hope you're staying safe out there!

In an effort to keep our patients and staff safe, Intermountain has asked us to follow these visitor guidelines:

Please limit bringing just one guest with you during your appointments.

Please leave the kiddos (anyone under 18) at home.

As a "well clinic" we ask that you call ahead if you're sick so we can help you figure out the best next step.

We love our patients and look forward to continuing to take care of you!

We love reading your birth stories!

Shelby shared her daughter's birth story with us:

When I was pregnant with Sophia; I kept getting a feeling toward the end that something was “off.” No matter how many times I called or texted Dr. Jones, he was always there to reply and bring me in for a NST just to be safe. At the end of the pregnancy, I was basically in every week for an NST because of that “off” feeling.

At one of my regular appointments at 37 weeks with Dr. Jones, we decided to do another NST. Turns out, her heart rate would drop a little every time I had a contraction. Dr Jones did not want to risk it and sent me over to Labor and Delivery for monitoring. They watched for awhile, and her heart rate would still drop low any time a contraction would come up. Dr Thomas was the doctor on that day and came into the L&D room. He told me he had discussed with Dr Ryan Jones about what’s going on, and they were worried my placenta quit functioning properly causing her heart rate to drop. They did not want to risk it, and recommended I be induced.

Dr. Thomas thoroughly explained why he believed it was best [to induce me] and why risking it wouldn’t be worth it. So I decided to start the process to bring my baby girl here! Dr. Thomas was the doctor to deliver her, and it turns out the cord was wrapped around her neck. If I would not have gotten induced; we aren’t sure if she would have lived another week.

I am SO thankful for Dr. Thomas and Dr. Jones for trusting how they felt taking my daughter early. Now she is a healthy almost 8 month old! Thank you! We love Legacy OB/GYN!
