HAPPY HALLOWEEN: Halloween is a time for fun, but safety should always come first. Before heading out for trick-or-treating, keep these tips in mind:
- Costume Safety: Choose flame-resistant materials, ensure costumes fit properly, and add reflective tape or glow sticks for visibility.
- Safe Routes: Stick to familiar neighborhoods, walk in groups, and cross streets at intersections. Young children should be accompanied by an adult.
- Check Treats: Inspect all candy before eating. Discard anything unwrapped or suspicious and watch for allergens.
- Safe Hosting: Keep walkways clear, use battery-powered lights in decorations, and keep pets indoors.
- Use Technology: GPS tracking and neighborhood apps can help parents monitor safety.
- Plan ahead, stay visible, and make this Halloween fun and safe for everyone.

This fall, Phoebe will be enhancing the patient experience by combining our hospital and clinic patient portals into one location. Patients will still go to PhoebePatient.com to access their medical record. This will make it easier for you to access your records. We will provide patients with updates. We are always looking for ways to provide safe and exceptional care with superior service to our patients.

We want to give a special shoutout to Ivey Neal, RN, of our Mother Baby Unit, for being recognized for outstanding customer service! A recent patient was so touched by Ivey’s kindness and compassion during her stay that she wanted to show her appreciation in a special way. After learning about the new gift baskets available in the Gift Shop, she ordered one and had it delivered to Ivey as a thank you. Way to go, Ivey! Thank you for going above and beyond, exceeding expectations, and truly putting the care in healthcare.
