We will be offering our Safe Sitter classes again! This is a wonderful course for young teens, grades 6-8. The Safe Sitter class is from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Phoebe HealthWorks. The class teaches kids how to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings or babysitting. Students will learn basic first aid, and infant and child choking rescue. The Jenkins family has received the keys to their new home at 223 S. Hampton Street! This home marks the culmination of the Americus‑Sumter Fuller Center for Housing Big Build Event 2026, where more than 400 volunteers came together to help construct the 10,001st Fuller Center home. Phoebe Sumter joined Georgia Southwestern State University and South Georgia Technical College as the lead organizations on this project, but every individual and group who took part helped make this dream a reality.

The award recognizes hospitals that excel in educating, engaging and inspiring support for the Georgia HEART rural hospital tax credit program. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Phoebe Hospice is hosting Camp Good Grief, a free one-day camp for children and teens ages 5–18 who are coping with the loss of a loved one. The camp will take place Saturday, May 2, 2026, beginning at 8 a.m. at Willson House in Albany. Camp Good Grief offers a safe, supportive environment where children can express their feelings, connect with peers, and begin healing through guided activities and a special memorial service for families. Volunteers play a vital role in making this day possible. We are seeking compassionate individuals who are willing to give their time and support to children and families during this special event.
