Jesus replied, β€œYou must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment." Matthew 22:37-38 As the Lord began revealing things to me for Better Together Health & Wellness, several years ago, He sent people who spoke different things, yet still all in alignment with His plan. As He gave me the vision for the logo, font, mark, colors, all the things, this Scripture became the driving force behind the design of the heart for the logo. Y'all I'm so excited for what is to come in 2026 for this business. I don't even feel right calling it "my" business because it's a God-breathed entity and I'm just His hands and feet doing the good work he has called me to do to serve and help others! So many new and good things coming that are aligned with these two verses of Scripture. More to come soon!πŸ€—πŸ™ŒπŸ½

You've seen it written on signs and decorations... "Jesus is the reason for the season." The Christmas season is certainly a time of joy and celebration. We have festive gatherings, gift exchanges, lots and lots of food. Often the days leading up to Christmas feel, well... full! We have full calendars, full inboxes, full plates, (sometimes literally and emotionally). We fill ourselves up with so much that we are left feeling very empty. And if we continue to pour out, the cup will become dry and the season overshadowed with stress and anxiety that leaves our spiritual tank empty.

So today... I encourage you to take some time. Slow down. Maybe even say "no" to a couple of things and scratch them off your calendar to free up some time to spend with the "Reason" for this season. Don't miss the true gift - time spent with Jesus!

Blessings! -Jen

Y'all on those cold nights a yummy cup of hot tea is awesome, and different herbal teas offer different health benefits. One of my favorites is this lemon and ginger with a little bit of honey (made by some friends here in Americus🐝🍯🐝)! So what is your favorite hot tea to drink?

I wanted to share this here with all of you. This time of year, the Christmas season can be overwhelming on multiple levels and really put a strain on our overall wellness. But remember this and recall it when needed... "God has made everything beautiful for it's own time...." What kind of season are you in right now? Is it one of rest? Maybe waiting? Maybe it's something more challenging like grief, or you just don't feel settled. Maybe it's raising up small kiddos or taking care of aging parents. No matter the season, we need to deliberately take time to spend with the Lord and place our trust in Him. Because He is with us in EVERY season, leading, guiding and sometimes carrying us through.

He is our Hope. He is our Peace.

Find comfort in discomfort and do hard things! The weather was yucky today...ugh, and still is, cold and rainy. Hershey the trail wander dog has no sunshine to lay in and she is a bit on the sad side, lol! But this morning as the rain picked up, I layered up and went for a run! I wore my Wonder Woman base layer, and a mid-layer and then rain jacket as the outer shell. I actually got too warm. But I also knew the rain would eventually seep through my outer shell to my mid-layer which it did. So, having that mid-layer kept the base layer dry and core warm. It's all about the core. And I wore pants, you should all be proud, it wasn't shorts.πŸ˜‚ Shorts probably would have been warmer though because my legs would have been dry afterward instead of sitting in wet pant legs for the drive home. Anywho, lol, back to doing hard things! Anytime I think something is hard, I stand it next to my north Georgia adventure back in February when I was on top of a mountain in heavy snow, it was 5 degrees and wind gusts up to 30 mph. Not your ideal running conditions, but man did God show up on that adventure like He does for all of them. You'll hear more of that story in my next devotional series! But, there will ALWAYS be challenges in life, and things that we go through that are uncomfortable. What we have GOT TO DO, is expect God to show up and walk every step with us! So, I challenge you this month with all the Christmas festivities, and sometimes overwhelmingness of the season, cooking shopping, etc...to stop! Step out of your comfort zone and step into what God has put on your heart to do. It could be simply spending time with Him! When we seek Him with all of our heart, we will find Him. But you've got to be ready, willing, and obedient to do what He wants you to do! But here's the irony in it...you will find so much joy when you come to the end of yourself. Joy that makes no sense, and only comes from God our creator. Y'all stay warm out there!

Hope you all have had a blessed Thanksgiving Day! Here are some fall snapshots from this past week I've taken. One thing I've picked up on this fall season is the actual, wonderful smell of fall. I think because I was living out in the woods for four days last week on a backpacking trip with thick leaves covering the trails all around me. I was just immersed in it day and night, and I only had one quick panic moment of losing the trail, lol, from the dense leaves, but quickly figured it out! Fall is by far my favorite season! Every leaf that falls to the ground serves a purpose to rest and rejuvenate conditioning the soil it becomes a part of for spring. I'm so grateful for seasons, even summer, ugh, lol! Each season is necessary in nature, just like every season we walk through in life is necessary to grow us! Our life in Christ is from glory to glory. And the things we go through grow and mature us in the sweet Spirit of God, where we desire Him more and more. So with each breath, I breathe in the sweet smell of fall and this beautiful season we're in. He is enough! And I just want to say THANK YOU to all of you for your support in this ministry and in this season! Blessings, -Jen
