✨ EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT! ✨

Meet one of our amazing new team members, Reece! 💛 As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Obria, she loves getting to connect with patients on a personal level and build meaningful relationships each day. She also values being part of such a supportive and encouraging team that’s always willing to help her learn and grow.

She joined Obria in February and has been working as a CNA for the past three years, bringing both experience and compassion to everything she does.

Originally from Algona, Iowa, she recently moved to Ankeny to pursue nursing school!

Family is a big part of her life. She has wonderful parents and two older sisters she looks up to, along with two family dogs, Copper and Bentley, and her own cat, Cashew.

Fun fact: she’s a state champion in both basketball and cheerleading! She’s also a huge ISU fan, so you’ll definitely find her cheering them on!

In her free time, she loves grabbing a coffee from and heading out to the golf course for a quick round when the weather is nice.

A meaningful verse for her is Titus 3:5:
“He saved us, not because of any righteous deeds we had done, but because of his mercy.”

We are so grateful for her heart, dedication, and the care she shows our patients every day. Thank you for all you do! 💖

Volunteers who invest their time in our clients are MVPs around here 👏👏

This month we're shouting out Stephanie Sabin! Stephanie started volunteering last Fall for our parenting program. She loves being a mom to her three fun kids which encouraged her to walk alongside women starting their own parenthood journey.

Stephanie's reason is personal too. "We spent time in the NICU with our first baby and needed support. I remember all the feelings and fears, and also the wonderful people who came alongside us and shared resources."

Stephanie is an ASL interpreter who enjoys coffee, playing music and learning. Huge thanks to her for helping Obria provide compassionate care to our community 💙
