Meet Our Fall Intern — Sydney Willits!

Sydney is no stranger to Ames Spine & Sport as she first came to us as a patient and is one of the athletes Dr. Jessi traveled with to provide personal medical coverage at both the Olympic Trials last year and USATF Outdoor Nationals last month. We’re so excited to have her on our team this fall!

Here’s a little bit about Sydney in her own words:
My name is Sydney Willits, and I am currently pursuing a degree in Kinesiology at Iowa State University. I’m a member of the ISU Track & Field team, competing primarily in the long jump, as well as the pentathlon and heptathlon. Through both my studies and athletic career, I’ve developed a strong passion for human performance, training, and leadership. My goal is to pursue a career in coaching, where I can combine my competitive experience with my academic background to inspire and guide future athletes. I’m excited to help out around the Ames Spine & Sport office this semester!

We’re thrilled to welcome Sydney to the crew. Be sure to say hi when you see her around the office!

Ames Spine & Sport will be closed today in observance of Memorial Day.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women of our military who gave everything in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we enjoy the freedoms we hold dear.
