Same weight. Less fat. More muscle.
This is why the scale doesn’t tell the whole story.

If you're only tracking pounds lost, you’ll miss the real transformation. This patient’s weight barely changed—but her body did. She lost fat and gained muscle. Specifically, she lost fat around her belly, the place where so many peri/postmenopausal women say it's most stubborn.

That’s the gold standard of sustainable fat loss… and it only happens when you prioritize strength training and protein intake.

And if you’re on a GLP-1 medication like Ozempic or Mounjaro, this is even more important.

GLPs help reduce body fat, but they also put you at risk for muscle loss. Without proper guidance (and real tracking like this), you could lose muscle and slow your metabolism.

This is what online-only prescribers won’t tell you.

This is what you miss without body composition scans throughout your treatment. Your goal isn’t just “weight loss.”

Your goal is fat loss, muscle preservation, and long-term vitality.

If you're ready for a smarter, safer, more personalized approach—book a consult. Let's do this right.

Do extensions make your hair thinner over time???

Danae says as long as you don't put too much weight on the natural hair they should not cause thinning. So be sure to have an expert consultation to see if extensions are right for you and what type is best.

Ideally, I love first-timers to get their treatment at least 4 months before a really important event.

This allows us to figure out your perfect treatment without the pressure of getting it right on the first try. It'll wear off in three months, and then we can treat again with confidence one month before your event!

If you don't have that long, I'd say two weeks at an absolute minimum, to allow it time to kick in. Better yet, four weeks so we can tweak things if needed.

Have you heard any Botox event horror stories???

"I chose Relevé Medical Aesthetics specifically because of Jen O'Brien's focus on providing subtle, natural results.

The results I experienced exceeded my expectations. In fact, after my first dermal filler treatment I was so happy with the results, I cried.

I love that Jen offers free, no obligation consults. My initial consult with Jen provided me with the opportunity to meet her, learn about her background, her services, and her philosophy of care. It really helped me determine she was a fit for me. I highly recommend anyone who is considering aesthetic treatments to schedule a consult with Jen."

Here's the UGLY truth ⬇️

Comment "yes" if you've worried that getting treatment means your vain.

Normal changes that occur due to age tend to make women look more angry or sad, while men just look more distinguished.

This change in nonverbal communication is what's actually bothering most women, not their age.

I specialize in natural results to help you feel like you're back to yourself.

Don't forget to comment "yes" if you've worried about being vain...Comment "hell no!" if you haven't!

What Weight Watchers Got Wrong About Losing Weight in Midlife

I hear this story all the time: “I did Weight Watchers for years and it worked fine, but now… I’m eating less and less and still gaining weight. What’s going on?”

Here’s the truth: your body is changing — especially in perimenopause and menopause — and the old rules don’t apply anymore.

1️⃣ You don’t need to eat less. In fact, you probably need to eat more — especially more protein. Think of it like fueling an engine. You are not a rabbit. You are a freaking goddess who needs fuel to change the world.

2️⃣ Cardio like running or walking feels like the “default,” but it’s actually not very efficient for fat loss. Building muscle with resistance training? That’s the real game-changer. Muscle burns calories all day long, even when you’re resting.

3️⃣ And that scale? Don’t put all your worth in it. Pounds of muscle replace pounds of fat, so your weight might not drop, but your clothes will fit better and you’ll feel stronger. That’s what matters.

You’re not broken, and this isn’t your fault. Your body just needs a new plan, one that works with where you are now.

If this sounds like you, know that I see you, and I can help.

If your skin seems to be rebelling against the holidays, read this ⬇️

The weather has turned cold, our heating systems are on, and our skin isn't happy about it.

This time of year I get a lot of messages about "sudden" skin changes, usually increasing dryness, redness, and fine lines.

The first thing I recommend is using a more moisturizing cleanser, like an oil or gel cleanser. Anything that foams is too harsh (even if it's labeled "sensitive").

You do not have to double cleanse if you are using an oil cleanser, just rinse with warm water (not hot) and pat dry. My favorite brand is DHC and is available on Amazon.

Next, apply a high quality moisturizer AM & PM. I can help you find something tailored to your skin, just DM me.

⚠️ Final tip: avoid over-exfoliating. Anything scrubby or gritty is prone to going too far in the exfoliation department and will make dryness worse. Try a chemical exfoliant like glycolic acid.
