Today we celebrate graduating UHS student worker Jenna Linehan!

❤️ Name: Jenna Linehan
🎓 Major: Nutrition (Master’s student)
💼 Role at UHS: Certified Pharmacy Technician at UHS Pharmacy
🏠 Hometown: Saugus, Massachusetts
🗺️ Post-Grad Plans: I will be continuing my journey of becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Massachusetts General Hospital Dietetic Internship this fall.
💭 Favorite UMass memory: Having the opportunity to be a part of the Student Nutritionist Program — a student-led program that offers free nutrition counseling to students and staff. This was an excellent learning experience for me and I met some amazing people through it.
⭐️ Best thing about working at UHS: Working with some of the most incredible people that have been supportive of me and my future career since day one! I have also gained some amazing skills from working at UHS that will be useful for years to come. This has been an amazing job all around and I am going to miss it very much!

🏠 Hometown: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
🗺️ Post-grad plans: I will be doing an internship at Planck Energies during summer 2025, and then I will pursue a Ph.D. program at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
💭 Proudest accomplishment from your time at UMass: One of my proudest accomplishments at UMass was independently presenting my research on antimicrobial spin-coated polyelectrolyte films using eco-friendly polymers for medical applications at the MassURC conference. Preparing for the conference has not only strengthened my technical skills but also deepened my passion for bridging science with real-world impact. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Schiffman’s Research Lab and UMass; I couldn’t have come this far without their support.
⭐️ Best thing about working at UHS: Being a UHS employee has been one of the luckiest parts of my college experience. I have met so many amazing people who have taught me and watched me grow since I was a freshman. UHS feels like my second family, where I have always felt supported and valued. The work environment has made me feel comfortable asking questions. Being part of UHS has made my time at UMass more meaningful than I had ever expected.
