Everyone is entertained by the strange little frogs in our aquarium. Cici and Lima (named by the doctors’ daughter) were the size of beans when they were first purchased. We estimate they are over 20 years old…. We remember they survived the October storm of 2006 when many of our more sensitive fish and all the tropical fish died without power to keep the tanks warm.
They’re Albino African Claw frogs. You might notice the little black claws at the ends of their digits (looks like black painted fingernails!) and usually have a lifespan of 10-15 years. They can be invasive and have been known to be aggressive but our two seem to be very happy and peaceful in our tank with our fancy goldfish.
