Left the house at 7am and arrived in Boston at 9:30. We were met at the entrance of Dana Farber by team of employees who helped to unload the jeep. It was bittersweet walking the same path I walked with my brother to his appointments and treatments. Riding the same elevator to the same (10th) floor etc. but it was so rewarding and a bit emotional meeting in a room to reunite with his care team. As much as it was hard for me it was even harder for my sister in law who did this walk with Dan more times than we can count. I was very grateful that her and I made the trip together♥️ Dan’s care team, lead doctor, social worker were so grateful and appreciative of the bags that we all put together as a community and donated. They wheeled a cart full (shown in pic below)to the infusion rooms right away to hand out.
Thank you everyone who helped to make this possible! All of your personalized notes that you wrote to recipients were hand written and placed in bags, honoring your stories and well wishes.
