Katherine is a mother of 3 children and a wife of 22 years. She started practicing yoga 19 years ago when she was pregnant with her first child. Katherine has a background degree in elementary education, is a certified children's yoga instructor from Kidding Around Yoga and is RYT200, She attended Yoga Life Institute and is also a Teacher Trainer for Kidding Around Yoga. In 2013 she decided to combine her two loves of teaching and yoga and started Let's Play & Namaste, yoga classes for children. This is a wonderful mix of yoga techniques through song, dance and play. Yoga for children is different than yoga for adults. To keep the children engaged yoga needs to be fun! We are able to keep the classes exciting while incorporating different yoga techniques such as breathing, meditation & poses in every class. The benefits of yoga for children are overwhelming. It boosts children's confidence while minimizing anxiety, stress and even depression, providing them with tools to manage everyday obstacles.
