We can learn a lot from our feline friends about how to receive, totally surrendering to the love and affection that comes our way. If you’re feeling stressed, find a cat and feel their nervous system’s relaxed state when they purr, or cuddle up to you to receive pets. They can help us regulate our own nervous system, which is highly susceptible to outside inputs, and can be co-regulated through touch.

Dear friends, I wanted to let you know that I have officially re-opened my massage practice after a seven-month hiatus. I no longer work in Northampton, but have joined Amherst Healing Arts Collective. Our office uses extensive COVID-19 risk mitigation practices: the massage room is cut off from the building's central air, has an air-exchange fan running in the open window 24/7, and stays warm with a space heater blasting and two HEPA air filters. All surfaces are sanitized, both the client and practitioner wear a mask throughout the session, and all patients are temperature-checked upon entry. Clients are spaced 30 minutes apart to give the treatment room time to air out.
