West Oak Family Clinic is now the walk-in care division of Hood Memorial Hospital.

If you need care now, just walk in:

🔹Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
🔹Saturday, 8 - 11:30 a.m.

If you’re looking to establish with a primary care provider, please call Amite Rural Health Clinic at (985) 748-7141.

Appointments are available:
🔹Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m

Both clinics accept Medicaid, Medicare, most major insurances and cash pay.

“Our goal is simple, to meet patients where they are and provide the care they need – when they need it,” shares Michael Whittington, Hood Memorial Hospital CEO. “By opening earlier, staying later and serving patients on Saturdays, we’re removing barriers and making healthcare more convenient for busy families and working individuals – keeping our community healthier and better supported.”

We’re thrilled to announce that Wendy Binder Hallmark, a compassionate and highly skilled nurse practitioner, is joining our team! With over 25 years in nursing and 10 years as a board-certified nurse practitioner, Wendy’s dedication and expertise are unmatched.

Wendy’s roots run deep in Amite, where she was born, raised, and has lived her entire life. As a proud mom and “lovey” to her grandsons, she’s passionate about caring for her hometown community. Wendy has provided care in emergency rooms, urgent care, and family clinics, always focused on putting her patients first. Now, she’s excited to bring her unique experience and personal commitment to serve Amite at West Oak Family Clinic.

Due to the severe weather expected from the approaching storm, both Strawberry Patch Pediatric Clinic and West Oak Family Clinic will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11. We plan to reopen on Thursday, weather permitting.
