Summary of the Job:

To provide medical assistance to the physician in a professional manner and to provide for patients in a caring, efficient and compassionate manner.
To handle patient phone calls, schedule appointments, data entry in EMR, check vital signs, perform EKGs, administer injections, draw blood samples and perform urinalysis, blood sugar, nebulizer treatment etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma.
Completion of an accredited medical assistant program preferred but not necessary. On job training can be provided.
Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from patients.
Positive attitude, efficient, and multi tasking is a requirement.
Ability to work collaboratively with others. Ability to exercise sound judgment in handling/escalating difficult situations.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must possess good physical health.
