This Veterans Day, we proudly salute the brave men and women who have served our country. We are grateful for the heroes in our community who have shown strength, compassion and commitment — your sacrifices protect our freedom are cherished and respected every day.

A special thanks to Lab Manager Joni Spikes for singing the National Anthem at Amite’s annual Veterans Day program at Buddy Bel Veterans Memorial park. Our team was honored to attend and share a token of appreciation with our heroes.

Our Team had a great time at the Rural Hospital Strategy Summit in Bethesda, Maryland last week!

Hood Memorial Hospital was honored for successfully completing the Delta Region Community Health Systems Development Program — a three-year commitment to strengthening critical access hospitals and rural health clinics. Special congratulations to Mr. Mike Whittington and Leah Cross-Williams for this achievement!

Leah also took the stage as a speaker, sharing insights on collaborative strategies for building local partnerships and actionable tools for regional success.

Kudos all around!

From our pumpkin decorating contest 🎨🎃 to our spooktacular Halloween social (because who doesn’t love treats AND dress-up day?! 🍬🧙‍♀️), we’ve been having a scary good time celebrating being “Wild About Your Health!” 🐆🩺
We’re wrapping up our frightfully fun week with Nightmare in the Arena at the Florida Parishes Arena — because even healthcare heroes need a little scare! 😱🕸️
